Experienced CNC Miller/ Operator/ programmer

G.T Tooling Ltd are looking for a time served CNC Machinist to operate their range of 3 and 5 axis Heidenhain controlled vertical machining centres.

The ideal candidate will possess both skills and experience in Programming, Setting and the Operation of CNC VMC's working in a range of materials.

They will need to be able to program on and off-line, ideally with experience in Powermill CAM.

Heidenhain knowledge and experience is essential.

MAIN DUTIES:

To meet exacting customer requirements. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings & specifications. Create, load, save and edit CNC programs using Heidenhain controls. Set up tooling and work piece datum's. Continually assess tool condition and maintain as necessary. Self inspect own work. To maintain good housekeeping standards. To ensure safe working practices are maintained

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Time Served Machinist. Ability to establish & develop relationships and be a good team player. Knowledge of mould tools would be an advantage. Good understanding of machining techniques. Minimum experience 4 Years. Skill in planning methods of machining. Competent in the set-up and operation of CNC Milling machines. Capable of programming both on and off machine controls. Able to work using own initiative. Well organised and dependable. Able to interpret engineering drawings and to self inspect critical features with experience in programming complex parts.. Knowledge of CAM programming required, ideally using Powermill or Fusion 360

Experience in Heidenhain programming essential.

Flexible Working Options Available:

• Flexi-time.
• 40-50 hours per week.
• Finish at 12 noon on Fridays.
• No weekend work.
