Experienced Craft Bartender

Ember Wood Fired Grill is located in the heart of downtown Dover, NH. We are all about serving (and enjoying!) quality food and beverages in and upscale-casual dining atmosphere. Currently we're looking for individuals that are outgoing, friendly, and reliable to add to our front of house team. Our experienced staff is expected to work together efficiently, communicate with each other as well as the guests, answer questions about the food and beverages, assist with all forms of customer service and duties around the restaurant. Our main goal here at Ember is to create a memorable dining experience for every guest that comes through our doors.

General responsibilities include:

• Greeting and seating guests
• Make guests feel welcomed and accommodated
• Having strong menu knowledge of both food and beverage
• Accurately take, time and deliver guest orders
• Anticipate the needs of guests
• Make suggestions in regard to food and wine pairing
• Busing/resetting tables
• Daily side work and shift preparation (stocking, roll-ups, etc.)

Well qualified candidates need to possess the following criteria:

• Minimum of 2 years bartending experience
• Strong Liquor (particularly whiskey) and Beer service knowledge.
• Knowledge and experience regarding wine varietals and proper pairing.
• Experience with proper/formal wine service.

TEAMS certified is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $3.27 - $5.00 per hour
