Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled deli clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling in a deli or bagel store. With the passion for delivering high-quality sandwiches in a fast-paced environment.

This position will start out at customer service answering phones, customer service, learning our heroes and POS system. From there you will learn to prepare our cold heroes, wraps, salads and panini's. You must have experience using and cleaning a slicer.

Job duties:

- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications

- Operate kitchen equipment such as slicer and panini maker

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sandwich preparation area

- Assist with restocking supplies

- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines

- Prepping for future shifts

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of deli products including meats, cheeses, salads, and prepared foods with precision and attention to quality.

Operate our Toasts POS systems for accurate cash handling and sales transactions.

Assist customers with selections, answer questions about products, and promote specials or upsell items to enhance sales.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning counters, utensils, and food preparation areas following food safety guidelines.

Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure all products are properly labeled and rotated for freshness.

Support food handling procedures to comply with health regulations while ensuring quick service during busy hours.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
