Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Dental Assistant to join our brand-new, state-of-the-art, fully digital private dental clinic. Our office serves primarily PPO and fee-for-service patients, with a low patient volume that allows us to focus on delivering exceptional, personalized care. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assisting the dentist during a wide range of procedures, supporting efficient workflow, and creating a comfortable, positive experience for every patient.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery and prosthodontics.
- Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments while maintaining a clean treatment area.
- Capture and develop digital X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
- Accurately record patient medical histories and vital signs in CareStack EMR.
- Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and strict infection control protocols.
- Manage patient documentation, including medical records and procedural coding.
- Operate 3D scanners and other advanced digital technology when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dental office is preferred.
- Proficiency with CareStack EMR is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with chair-side assisting is REQUIRED.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally with patients and team members.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
