Responsibilities

• Assist chairside during dental procedures
• Take digital radiographs, including FMX, and perform intraoral scans
• Capture intraoral photographs
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories, including helping hygiene when needed
• Pack cord and place matrix bands
• Fabricate temporary crowns when needed
• Educate patients on treatment and post-op instructions
• Review treatment plans and financials and help schedule patients when necessary
• Order supplies and help keep rooms and clinical systems organized
• Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the day

Who Will Thrive in This Role

This position is best suited for an experienced Dental Assistant who enjoys independence, responsibility, and being a key part of a high-functioning practice.

You will serve as the primary chairside assistant, working closely with the doctor to maintain an efficient schedule and excellent patient care. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, and confident in core assisting skills.

This position requires someone who is comfortable:

• Taking full-mouth series (FMX) and digital radiographs efficiently
• Capturing intraoral photographs
• Performing digital intraoral scanning
• Packing cord and placing matrices when assisting with restorative procedures
• Managing room setup and clinical flow independently
• Discussing Tx plans and financials and scheduling patients when necessary.
• Assisting a left-handed dentist

Qualifications

• Dental assisting experience preferred (2+ years ideal)
• NC X-ray certification
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Organized, dependable, and team-oriented
• Comfortable with computers and digital dentistry

Schedule

• Monday – Thursday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation

• 23 - 30 per hour,based on experience

This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant only who can confidently step into a primary chairside role.
