Experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician

Job Summary

DNM Transportation is seeking a reliable and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our in-house maintenance team. As a growing trucking company with a fleet of 36 trucks, we are looking for a qualified individual with strong diagnostic skills and experience working on diesel equipment and heavy-duty trucks.

This position plays an important role in helping maintain the safety, reliability, and performance of our fleet.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel trucks, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections
• Troubleshoot and identify mechanical and electrical issues
• Ensure repairs are completed in accordance with company safety standards and maintenance procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Work with the team to support efficient fleet operations and minimize downtime

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic required
• Experience working on heavy-duty trucks preferred
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus, but not required)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused

Compensation

• Hourly pay based on experience and skill level
• Starting at $30/hour, with top pay up to $50/hour for highly qualified candidates
