Food Expeditor Job Description:

We are searching for a food expeditor who has experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This is for a high-volume pop-up kitchen and attention to allergies )

A food expeditor serves as an intermediate between customers and the kitchen staff. Food expeditors communicate orders and information between the front and back of the house, making sure that food is cooked in the proper order, quickly, and presented to the customer as beautifully as possible.

Expo makes sure the orders are being cooked in a timely fashion so that all orders per customer are ready at the same time and make sure that once the food is cooked, served while it's warm and ready. Expeditors are also in charge of the final presentation of the plate and completion.

A food expeditor position requires skills, such as solid communication abilities, and a warm and friendly personality is also a definite plus. The ideal expeditor has excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. In addition, this job operates in a fast-paced setting. You must be able to be on your feet for up to 6hrs and work shifts over weekends and on holidays is required.

Lastly, please make sure to pay attention to customers’ special requests regarding dietary restrictions and allergies.

Salary:

$17.87 per hour + (Guarantee $13.00-$14.00 dollars / hour in tips)
