Soul Garden was created out of a passion for all things growing, combined with comprehensive knowledge of plants, climate, soil, and space. How these elements relate and resonate with each other is the cornerstone of our “whole system” approach to landscaping. With over 20 years of experience, Soul Garden offers an alternative to mainstream landscaping for high-end residential properties in Salt Lake City, and Park City, Utah. We design, build, and nurture beautiful living spaces in a respectful, aware, and site-specific way.

PSA- This role involves active outdoor work. Applicants should be comfortable working in varying weather conditions, able to lift to 50 lbs, and prepared for a physically engaging workday that includes extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Qualifications- Must Have
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in hands-on, meaningful work. Ideal candidates will bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

• Experienced fine gardener
• Extensive plant identification and horticultural knowledge
• Experience caring for perennials, shrubs, ornamental grasses, and trees
• Skilled in fine pruning and seasonal garden maintenance
• Understanding of soil health, irrigation systems, and sustainable gardening practices
• Ability to identify pests, diseases, and environmental stress
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions
• Physically fit and able to handle a hands-on role that includes lifting, squatting, bending, and moving throughout garden spaces
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with a team
• Ability to work independently and stay self-directed when needed
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of garden care.
• Open-minded and eager to learn new skills, particularly in organic and sustainable gardening practices
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the hands-on care and maintenance of beautiful, sustainably managed gardens. The position requires attention to detail, plant knowledge, and a passion for organic gardening practices.

• Identify a variety of plants and provide appropriate seasonal care to support plant health and longevity
• Perform detailed garden bed maintenance throughout the seasons, including soil cultivation and amendment, weeding, plant health monitoring, disease treatment, sustainable pest control, and the application of organic compost and mulch
• Care for both perennial and annual plantings using Soul Garden’s organic and sustainable gardening practices
• Assist with installation, plantings, and ongoing detailed maintenance of established gardens
• Develop familiarity with each garden space and its unique needs, building an understanding of how to best support its long-term health and beauty
• Perform careful pruning of woody ornamentals and herbaceous shrubs using proper hand-pruning techniques

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
