Experienced Forester/Timber Purchaser

Benson Timber Services, INC is a timber company located in Clayton, N.C. We currently have a need for an experienced timber buyer or forestry technician. This position requires an aggressive, well-organized individual who can work independently, but also function as a team player.

Primary responsibilities will be to source, negotiate, and purchase private stumpage as well as manage active logging operations. The candidate will be self-motivated with strong communication and computer skills. Ability to follow through and aggressively negotiate timber sales, assess timber and flag tracts, while building strong relationships with landowners. *Experience with GIS and mapping a plus*

Applicant would be responsible for all aspects of fieldwork, office work, analysis, and reporting to landowner/client.

Benson Timber Services, INC will provide a truck and gas card.

Base Pay: $52,000.00 per year
