We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and patient English Tutor to work with high school students in reading, writing, and composition. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys working one-on-one, values thoughtful instruction, and takes pride in helping students build confidence and clarity in their communication skills.

The ideal candidate has:

• A strong educational background in English, Literature, Writing, or Composition
• Experience working with high school students across varying skill levels
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly
• A patient, supportive, and encouraging teaching style
• A genuine passion for helping students grow as readers, writers, and thinkers

Responsibilities include:

• One-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs
• Support with reading comprehension, analytical writing, and organization
• Guidance on essays, writing assignments, and revision strategies
• Homework support and preparation for quizzes, exams, and standardized tests
• Helping students develop effective study and writing habits

This is a highly personalized role for educators who value relationship-based learning and want to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic growth.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
