Experienced HVAC Residential Service Technician

Duties

• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, and appliances using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC equipment, and property systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Install new HVAC systems, ductwork, thermostats, and related equipment following HVAC design specifications and building codes.
• Conduct system inspections to identify issues proactively and recommend appropriate solutions to clients.
• Utilize mechanical skills and equipment repair techniques to restore or upgrade property systems.
• Maintain detailed service reports, work orders, and documentation of all repairs performed for accurate record-keeping.
• Communicate clearly with clients about system operations, maintenance tips, and safety procedures while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician within the HVAC industry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in troubleshooting equipment repair.
• Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and the use of diagnostic tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing.
• Ability to read technical manuals and interpret complex system diagrams confidently.
• Experience working in field service environments with a focus on residential properties.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Skills in construction practices related to ductwork installation or property upgrades are beneficial.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Pay: $65,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year
