Summary
We are seeking an Experienced Immigration Attorney to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing complex immigration matters, able to communicate clearly with clients, and committed to delivering high-quality advocacy. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational habits, and the ability to manage a full caseload independently.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of hands-on immigration law experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-centered environment
Key Responsibilities
Client Representation & Casework
- Represent clients before EOIR, USCIS, ICE, and other government entities.
- Prepare and review motions, briefs, waivers, applications, and supporting evidence.
- Conduct thorough consultations and develop individualized legal strategies.
- Provide clear, consistent, and compassionate communication with clients regarding case status and expectations.
Court & Hearing Work
- Attend master calendar hearings, individual hearings, bond hearings, and USCIS interviews.
- Prepare clients for hearings and interviews.
- Develop case strategy and ensure high-quality representation at every stage.
Case Management
- Oversee cases with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
- Track court dates, filing deadlines, and case milestones using firm systems.
- Ensure timely filing of applications, motions, RFEs, and responses.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate closely with paralegals and support staff to ensure thorough case preparation.
- Provide guidance to legal team members as needed.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and continuing legal education.
Professional Conduct
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
- Follow firm policies, procedures, and quality benchmarks.
- Uphold the firm’s reputation for compassionate, client-centered representation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in any U.S. state; Texas licensure preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of immigration law experience, particularly in removal defense and/or family-based petitions.
- Strong knowledge of immigration statutes, procedural rules, and agency processes.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and a high-volume caseload effectively.
- Professional fluency in English; Spanish fluency strongly preferred.
