Ruh-Roh Retreat is an online marketplace for dog sitters that is focused on attracting pet owners who seek premium, personalized, and vacation-style care for their dogs.

The marketplace has limited availability for sitters who operate and want to advertise their own professional, independent dog-sitting businesses, and who want access to a curated marketplace of pet owners.

The platform facilitates booking and payment processing and enables connections between pet owners and sitters. Sitters independently determine their services, rates, and availability and choose whether to accept any booking request. Sitters retain 85% of the amounts paid by pet owners. The remaining portion is collected by Ruh-Roh Retreat to support the platform's operations, maintenance, and improvement.

Ruh-Roh Retreat is seeking independent dog sitters to feature on our marketplace who are looking for the opportunity to connect with pet owners who treat dog care as an experience—not a commodity. The marketplace is best suited to sitters who provide boutique, vacation-style services and want to reach owners who value quality, personalization, and premium care.

Location Eligibility

At this time, the marketplace is focused on dog owners located in Irvine, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, and surrounding Orange County areas.

Eligibility

To request access to the Ruh-Roh Retreat marketplace, sitters must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Established pet-sitting business, such as an active profile on another dog-sitting platform (e.g., Rover or Wag) or a professional website or business profile
• Must provide own liability insurance
• Completion of applicable identity and background screening required for marketplace participation
• Location within the Orange County service area currently supported by the platform

Sitters interested in joining the Ruh-Roh Retreat platform may request to join by emailing:

• A link to a professional pet care profile or website
• An overview of services and typical rates
• 2–3 professional references (used to support or enhance your marketplace profile)

Sitters will be invited to a short phone or video call to learn more about the platform and confirm eligibility.

Limited Marketplace Capacity

To maintain a balanced marketplace and avoid oversaturation in any area, Ruh-Roh Retreat limits the number of sitters who can access the platform at any given time. As a result, not all requests for marketplace access can be accommodated, and availability may vary by location.

Pay: $40.00 - $90.00 per day
