Oak Park Friends School is seeking an experienced early childhood educator to split their time between our Infant and Toddler programs.

This role is designed for a seasoned teacher who enjoys mentoring newer educators, building strong classroom communities, and helping create exceptional experiences for children from infancy through toddlerhood.

You'll work closely with teaching teams in both classrooms, supporting curriculum development, modeling best practices, strengthening family relationships, and helping ensure continuity as children transition between programs.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with infant and toddler teaching teams to create engaging learning environments
  • Support curriculum planning and implementation
  • Build strong relationships with children and families
  • Model responsive caregiving and developmentally appropriate practice
  • Mentor and support newer teachers
  • Observe children's development and help guide classroom planning
  • Foster a warm, inclusive, and collaborative classroom culture
  • Help ensure consistency between infant and toddler programs

Qualifications

  • Significant experience working in infant and/or toddler classrooms
  • Strong understanding of child development from birth through age three
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to collaborate, coach, and lead by example
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
