Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant / Plater to join our NYC commissary kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume production environment and can work independently while maintaining consistency and speed.

Schedule
8-hour morning shifts
Weekend availability required

Responsibilities
Assist with prep, production, and plating of individual meals
Pack meals accurately and efficiently for delivery
Maintain organization and cleanliness of workstations
Follow recipes and SOPs to ensure consistency and quality
Work closely with the Kitchen Manager to execute daily production goals
Support team operations in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
Experience in high-volume kitchens (restaurants, catering, commissaries) preferred but not required
Food Protection Certificate (or willingness to obtain) required
Strong knife skills and attention to detail
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Ability to work independently and stay organized under pressure
English and/or Spanish speakers welcome
Professional references required

Compensation
Hourly position: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience)
Growth opportunities for experienced candidates, including potential management track
