Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Kitchen Designer to design functional, beautiful kitchen spaces that meet client needs, budgets, and timelines. The ideal candidate combines strong design skills with technical knowledge, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand design preferences, lifestyle needs, and budget
- Create kitchen layouts, renderings, and detailed design plans
- Select cabinetry, countertops, appliances, fixtures, and finishes
- Prepare accurate measurements, specifications, and cost estimates
- Use design software to produce drawings and presentations
- Collaborate with sales teams, contractors, installers, and vendors
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Ensure designs comply with building codes and safety standards
- Revise designs based on client feedback and project requirements
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Designer or in a related interior design role
- Strong understanding of kitchen layouts, materials, and construction methods
- Proficiency with design software (e.g., 2020, Chief Architect, or similar)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read plans and take accurate site measurements
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Interior Design or a related field
- Experience working in a showroom or design-build environment
- Knowledge of cabinetry brands, appliances, and countertop materials
- Sales experience or comfort presenting designs to clients
