Experienced Landscaper / Hardscaper

Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN (Projects throughout Dakota County and surrounding areas)

Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time

Compensation: $25.00 – $60.00/hr (Based on experience, productivity, and skill level)

Schedule: Flexible schedule; Season runs April/May through October/November

Payment: Bi-weekly direct deposit

About the Position

Renew Landscaping is seeking an experienced Landscaper / Hardscaper to join our landscape construction team. We specialize in retaining walls, paver patios, drainage systems, grading, sod installation, planting projects, and complete landscape renovations.

This position is for individuals who take pride in producing high-quality work, maintaining a strong work ethic, and helping build exceptional outdoor spaces. We are looking for team members who can work independently, think ahead, and contribute to the successful completion of projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities Hardscape Construction

• Install segmental concrete block retaining walls.
• Install paver patios, walkways, driveways, steps, and outdoor living spaces.
• Assist with layout, excavation, base preparation, compaction, and final detailing.
• Install natural stone and manufactured stone products.

Drainage & Grading

• Install French drains, catch basins, drain tile systems, and channel drains.
• Perform grading and site preparation work.
• Assist with excavation and material movement.

Landscape Installation

• Install landscape fabric, decorative rock, mulch, edging, sod, trees, shrubs, and plant material.
• Fine grade project areas and perform final detailing.
• Maintain clean and professional jobsites.

Equipment Operation

• Operate skid steers, mini skid steers, compact excavators, and other landscape equipment.
• Safely load, unload, and move materials throughout the project.

QualificationsExperience

• Minimum 2 years of professional landscape construction or hardscape installation experience.
• Experience with retaining walls, pavers, drainage, grading, or landscape installation preferred.
• Mowing and routine lawn maintenance experience alone does not qualify.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 75+ pounds regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to maintain a fast-paced work environment throughout the day.

Equipment & Licensing

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience operating skid steers, mini skid steers, or compact equipment preferred.
• Experience towing trailers and equipment is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $60.00 per hour
