Experienced Lead Carpenter – Residential Remodeling

The Role

We are hiring a Lead Carpenter to take ownership of projects in the field.

This role is responsible for executing work, leading a crew, and maintaining job site standards—not just completing tasks.

You will work closely with our Foreman to keep projects on track, on time, and up to the KPS standard.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Lead day-to-day job site execution on basement finishing projects and other interior renovation projects
• Perform high-quality carpentry work (framing, trim, installs, punch work)
• Manage and direct 1–3 crew members
• Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure readiness of work areas
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Communicate progress, issues, and needs to management
• Ensure work aligns with plans, scope, and quality expectations

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of residential carpentry experience
• Strong experience in framing, trim, and finish carpentry; tile install experience required
• Ability to read plans and execute without constant supervision
• Experience leading or mentoring others on-site
• High attention to detail and pride in finished product
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in client homes

Preferred

• Experience with basement finishing or full interior remodels
• Familiarity with project management tools (Buildertrend a plus)
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
