Experienced Litigation Paralegal

Job description

Kaufman, Payton & Chapa, P. C. concentrates its practice in Personal Injury, Insurance Defense, Commercial Litigation, Insurance Litigation, Regulatory Law and Corporate Law. We are seeking a Full-time, Experienced Litigation Paralegal.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Drafting discovery requests and answers to discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions
• Procuring signed medical records authorizations, ordering records, and tracking records requests
• Administering FOIA requests, background checks, and other records-gathering projects
• Drafting and E-filing legal documents with the court, as needed
• Entering Paralegal time into the firm’s practice management software
• Excellent typing and proofreading skills are needed, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills, an ability to work independently, with attention to detail
• Knowledge of court procedures and court rules
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to interact with others in a professional manner

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
