Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Duties
- Assist with all phases of litigation including case preparation, discovery, document review, and trial support.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies.
- Manage and organize large volumes of case files using document management systems.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, contracts, and correspondence with meticulous attention to detail.
- Review and analyze documents for relevance and privilege; prepare summaries for attorney review.
- Coordinate depositions, interviews with clients or witnesses, and court filings while maintaining strict adherence to deadlines.
- Support project management efforts by tracking case milestones and maintaining detailed records of case activities.
- Provide executive administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence related to litigation matters.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while ensuring compliance with legal standards and regulations across diverse practice areas such as personal injury and other complex matters.
Skills
- Extensive paralegal experience with a strong background in litigation support across multiple practice areas.
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with legal databases.
- Excellent legal drafting skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate documents under tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with document review processes and legal case management software to streamline workflows.
- Effective interviewing skills for client or witness interviews; adept at transcribing notes accurately.
- Knowledge of estate planning nuances, family law procedures, landlord-tenant laws, personal injury claims processes—and the ability to adapt accordingly.
- Superior proofreading skills ensuring error-free documents; excellent phone etiquette for client interactions.
- Project management capabilities that facilitate timely case progression and team collaboration.
- Administrative experience supporting busy law offices through data entry, filing systems management, clerical tasks, and organizational support.
