Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools, including the Ohmmeter, to measure electrical resistance within components
- Repair or replace faulty mechanical parts, ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and technical specifications
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance in detailed reports for future reference
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance and implement upgrades or modifications
- Assist in commissioning new equipment by following installation procedures and testing operational readiness
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and parts are properly stored after use
Experience
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician with a strong background in maintaining industrial machinery
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems efficiently using diagnostic tools such as the Ohmmeter
- Knowledge of electrical systems related to mechanical equipment is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures relevant to mechanical maintenance environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards identifying issues before they escalate
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals accurately
- Excellent communication skills for documenting work processes and collaborating effectively with team members
