Experienced Med Tech / Patient Care Tech

Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated energetic Experienced MedTech with current med certification, come and join our intimate community. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care for residents who require either extensive assistance, limited assistance, or supervision. Your expertise will support patient comfort, safety, and recovery while working closely with community Physicians, therapist, social workers hospice etc. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through hands-on care and support.

Have reliable transportation

Current CPR/First Aid

Current Med Tech Cert

Up to date TB test

Valid state ID/ SSC

Able to pass a level two background check

Duties

  • Assist with patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, recording patients day to day activity
  • Assist with medications and treatments accurately following physician orders
  • Support patients with activities of daily living such Transferring, hygiene care, assist with bathing, dresses feeding etc..
  • Provide specialized care for geriatrics individuals who require extensive, limited, or supervised physical assistance, or supervision, knowledge is required in hospice or palliative care.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of patient information and accurately documenting all patient interactions and any significant changes in resident's day to day functions an interaction
  • Support infection control protocols during care and upholding safety standards across all settings.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge in MOR documentation, knowledge in understanding how to read a Physicians order, how to D/C and add a Physicians order, A strong knowledge in Medication assistance, knowledge and protocol on hand sanitizing and infection control with retrieving and assisting with meds.
  • Experience working in the assisted living environment, and home & community-based care community
  • Ability to multi-task, and effectively manage time. (cook) and prepare amazing meals, do light house keeping, and laundry
  • Familiarity and specialized patient care to those with dementia/dementia care needs.
  • Excellent caregiving skills combined with compassionate communication tailored to individuals who require, more care, limited assistance, or supervision
