Experienced Medical Assistant

As a Podiatry Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing direct patient care along with the physician. Applicant must have strong interpersonal skills, communication, and motivation. The job is fast paced and the need for organization skills is high.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Update and file medical records and insurance reports
• Update lab reports
• Check with patients and type up patients charts
• Assist during medical examinations
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
• Assist with procedures, bandages, wound care, etc
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Skills

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Must know electronic medial records
• X-ray experience preferred, but not required

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
