Experienced Medical Biller

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Experiences Medical Biller to join our healthcare administration team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical billing, coding, and revenue cycle management, with a focus on ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for healthcare services. As an Experiences Medical Biller, you will be responsible for managing the entire billing process, from coding procedures to resolving claims issues, thereby supporting the financial health of our organization. Your expertise in medical terminology, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and insurance claim submission will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret medical records to accurately assign diagnosis codes using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems.
  • Utilize CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) coding to document procedures and services provided by healthcare practitioners.
  • Submit clean claims electronically through EHR systems and follow up on unpaid or denied claims promptly.
  • Conduct medical collections by communicating with insurance companies, patients, and third-party payers to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Maintain comprehensive and organized medical records to support billing activities and audits.
  • Stay current with changes in medical coding standards, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in medical billing with a strong understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
  • Familiarity with medical office operations and proficiency in using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare documentation standards.
  • Experience in medical collections and resolving billing disputes efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients.
  • Prior experience in medical coding or billing certification is preferred.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
