Experienced Mobile Semi Truck Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Mobile Road Service Technician to join our dynamic team in Boonville. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty semi-trucks and commercial vehicles at various locations. Your expertise will ensure that fleet vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, air brakes, and more, all while providing outstanding customer service in a mobile environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on semi-trucks and heavy equipment using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical expertise.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, jump starts, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and hydraulic system servicing to keep vehicles in top condition.
• Fabricate parts or modify components as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
• Repair and service specialized equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and tractor-trailers.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, HVAC units, transmissions, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignment issues, hydraulics, and suspension components with precision.
• Use heavy lifting techniques safely when handling large parts or equipment; operate heavy machinery such as forklifts or cranes when necessary.
• Maintain detailed service records and complete all documentation accurately; communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
• Proven experience with heavy-duty trucks or similar industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC units, and electrical components.
• Skilled in automotive diagnostics using schematics and electronic diagnostic tools.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including soldering), and fabrication techniques.
• Experience working on excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery or other heavy equipment is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire service or wheel alignment efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
• Capable of heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections. Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
