Experienced Ophthalmic Technician in Busy Optometry Office

Green Hills Eyecare is a busy, well-established private optometry practice seeking an experienced Optometric Technician to join our clinical team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in a fast-paced environment, values high-quality patient care, and enjoys working closely with doctors in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical:

  • Independently perform comprehensive pre-testing, including patient history, Optomap imaging, visual acuities, IOP, and entrance testing
  • Conduct advanced diagnostic testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography) with accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist doctors during exams and anticipate clinical needs
  • Lead contact lens trainings and patient education

Administrative:

  • Manage scheduling, referrals, and patient flow
  • Coordinate contact lens orders and follow-ups
  • Support front office operations as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in optometry or ophthalmology required
  • Strong working knowledge of diagnostic equipment (OCT, VF, fundus photography)
  • Ability to work independently and maintain efficiency in a high-volume practice
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, patient-centered approach
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
