Experienced Ophthalmology Medical Biller | NexTech Required
Remote | Part-Time | 30 hours/week | $7.50/hour

This role is for someone who is already confident in ophthalmology billing workflows and can work effectively inside NexTech. If you have strong end-to-end billing experience and understand the details that matter in eye care billing, this could be a strong fit.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Accurate charge entry, claim creation, and claim submission
• Reviewing EOBs/ERAs, payment posting, and reconciliation
• Working denied, rejected, and unpaid claims through follow-up and appeals
• Applying correct ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers
• Supporting clean claims and reducing billing errors
• Tracking A/R, identifying variances, and helping improve billing performance

What we’re looking for:

• 2 to 4+ years of medical billing experience
• At least 1 to 2 years in ophthalmology or eye care billing
• Hands-on NexTech experience is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of insurance claims, denial management, payment posting, and appeals
• Solid understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, and HIPAA compliance
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability

Strong advantage if you also have experience with:

• Ophthalmology-specific CPT and HCPCS coding
• Cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, AMD, optical/V-code, or ASC billing
• Reporting, A/R tracking, and Excel-based billing follow-up
