Care One Pharmacy, based in Niles, Illinois, is experiencing growth, and we are currently hiring experienced Pharmacy Data Entry Technicians for our PM Shift. 1 PM-9:30 PM weekdays and 11:30 AM-7 PM on alternating weekends. This is an ONSITE position. LTC experience is strongly preferred; however, retail or hospital experience can also be beneficial, as it demonstrates the ability to adapt to learning software programs and familiarity with Excel.

- Pharmacy Technician – Order Entry

- Entering prescriptions and verifying the accuracy of patient information.
- Excellent phone skills for incoming calls and placing calls to our long-term care nurses.
- Providing top-notch customer service.
- Process refills and new prescriptions promptly.
- Focus on quality assurance to ensure accurate input of physician orders and prevent medication errors.
- Daily support to pharmacists.
- Utilize sound judgment to make appropriate decisions in the best interest of patients and the company.
- Restocks and organizes workstations to maintain a clean work environment.
- Reliability and flexibility with scheduling are required, working Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Current national pharmacy certification, PTCB/EXCPT, and an unencumbered Pharmacy Technician License.
- Framework software experience is highly preferred.
- Comprehensive computer knowledge and skills required, thorough understanding of medical terminology, and drug knowledge with an emphasis on CII’s required, math with a focus on calculations, and analytical skills required.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ experience in Long Term Care Pharmacy
- 1-2 years’ experience, Framework and ECM/DocuTrack preferred
- Pharmacy Tech Certification, Illinois Pharmacy Technician License in good standing
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
- Must possess good mathematical skills.
- Be familiar with both brand and generic names, as well as the general uses of medications.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret doctors’ orders.
- Familiarity with federal and State laws as they pertain to the pharmacy.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
