<Responsibilities>

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law, patent law, and workers' compensation law.
  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Manage legal case files efficiently using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are accurate, organized, and easily accessible.
  • Perform detailed document review and analysis to identify pertinent information for case preparation and litigation support.
  • Assist attorneys with client interviews by preparing questionnaires, summarizing interview notes, and organizing relevant documentation.
  • Support litigation processes through filing court documents electronically or in person while adhering to procedural rules.
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and external agencies to gather necessary information while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills.

<Experience>

  • Proven paralegal experience within a busy law office environment supporting multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, or litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of legal research tools including LexisNexis and Westlaw; familiarity with legal case management software is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with legal administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, transcription, proofreading, and document management systems like iManage or PCLaw.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents with clarity and accuracy; excellent writing skills are essential.
  • Ability to perform thorough legal research on complex topics including UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), tribal regulations, patent law, immigration law, landlord-tenant issues, personal injury claims, and workers' compensation cases.
