Experienced Part-Time Floral Designer

Job Summary
We are seeking an Experienced Part-Time Floral Designer to join our team. Weekends and evenings are required during peak periods. This candidate will work Saturdays from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM as well. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE!! The ideal candidate will bring creativity, technical floral design skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves creating beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, maintaining a well-organized work environment, and assisting customers with their floral needs. The position offers flexible hours suitable for individuals with a background in floral design and related horticultural fields.

Responsibilities

• Design and assemble floral arrangements for events, retail displays, and custom orders, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
• Assist customers in selecting flowers and designing custom bouquets or arrangements that meet their needs and preferences.
• Maintain the floral display area, ensuring it is attractive, organized, and well-stocked with fresh flowers and supplies.
• Manage inventory levels of flowers, foliage, containers, and other floral supplies through stock monitoring and ordering as needed.
• Handle POS transactions accurately, including cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging flowers attractively to enhance visual appeal and sales.
• Ensure proper care of flowers by following horticultural best practices for watering, pruning, and storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the workspace to ensure a safe working environment for staff and customers.

Skills

• Proven experience in floral design with a strong portfolio of creative arrangements.
• Knowledge of horticulture, gardening, lawn care, landscape maintenance, and plant care techniques.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms for online order processing and sales management.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse customer bases.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, stock levels, and display setups efficiently.
• Retail sales experience including POS systems, cashiering, retail math, merchandising, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about floral artistry who enjoy working in a dynamic retail setting while providing outstanding service to customers.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Seasonal

Pay: $21.36 - $25.72 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 24.0 per week
