Experienced Pediatric Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are adding a dedicated, experienced, knowledgeable and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our private practice . The ideal candidate must exude a passion for working with children and a commitment to providing exceptional dental care in a friendly, fun and supportive environment. This role involves assisting the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean organized workspace. You must be genuinely friendly and possess the ability to work with team members of all skill levels in a professional manner.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict hygiene protocols.
• Take digital imaging while adhering to safety standards.
• Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Support the front office as needed and managing patient flow.
• Ensure our practice is clean, organized, and welcoming for all patients.

Skills

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
• Experience (2 years ) in assisting within a pediatric or general dentistry setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
• Proficient in digital imaging techniques relevant to pediatric dentistry.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children and their families.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professional, friendly demeanor .
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• You must have dependable transportation to our locations and pass hiring criteria that includes background check and drug screening
• Must be available to work scheduled patient hours
• Eligible for bonus program after 180 days

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 32.0 per week
