Experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Primary Care & Urgent Care | Charlotte, NC

OneSpotMD Primary & Urgent Care is a physician-owned healthcare practice serving the Charlotte community. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

We are looking for a provider who genuinely enjoys patient care, is confident practicing independently, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Family Medicine and is comfortable managing both acute and chronic conditions while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients ages 6 months and older
  • Manage a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries in an urgent care setting
  • Perform common office procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, wound care, toenail removal, ear lavage, and foreign body removal
  • Apply and manage orthopedic devices including splints, slings, braces, and crutches
  • Perform DOT, sports, school, and pre-employment physicals
  • Order and interpret laboratory studies, EKGs, and diagnostic imaging
  • Prescribe medications and administer appropriate treatments and injections
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Manage common chronic diseases and practice preventive medicine

Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license (or ability to obtain licensure)
  • Active DEA registration
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Family Medicine
  • Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach
  • DOT Medical Examiner Certification is a plus

  • Competitive base salary of $120,000–$140,000 annually based on experience and expertise
