Experienced Plumber

Starting Salary: $50,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, with a 1-hour lunch
Some Saturdays required as needed

SCP is looking for an experienced plumber to join our team. This position will focus on plumbing repairs and maintenance for multiple mobile homes throughout our properties. The right candidate must be dependable, professional, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can troubleshoot plumbing issues, and understands the importance of completing jobs correctly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

The plumber will be responsible for completing plumbing-related work orders, repairs, and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:

• Diagnosing and repairing plumbing leaks
• Repairing or replacing water lines, drain lines, faucets, toilets, sinks, tubs, showers, and fixtures
• Troubleshooting water pressure, clogs, sewer backups, and drainage issues
• Completing plumbing repairs in occupied and vacant mobile homes
• Assisting with make-ready repairs to help prepare homes for leasing
• Documenting completed work orders through MaintainX
• Communicating clearly with supervisors and office staff
• Maintaining a clean and professional work area
• Helping reduce outside vendor plumbing expenses by completing work in-house when possible

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Prior plumbing experience
• Ability to work independently and complete jobs without constant supervision
• Basic plumbing tools and knowledge of plumbing materials
• Own working truck
• Own tools
• Reliable transportation
• Working cell phone
• Ability to download and use apps for payroll and work order documentation
• Ability to use MaintainX or willingness to learn and use it consistently
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to work some Saturdays when needed
• Professional attitude when working around residents, coworkers, and management

Basic Skills Needed

The ideal candidate should be able to:

• Identify plumbing problems and determine the proper repair
• Repair and replace common plumbing fixtures
• Work with water supply lines and drain systems
• Clear basic clogs and troubleshoot drainage issues
• Read and follow work orders
• Manage time well across multiple properties
• Keep accurate notes and photos for completed work
• Communicate when additional materials, parts, or support are needed

Pay and Growth Opportunity

This position starts at $50,000 per year salary.

Moving above the starting salary will depend on:

• Reliability and attendance
• Ability to complete jobs independently
• Quality of work
• Proper and consistent MaintainX usage
• Ability to help reduce outside vendor plumbing expenses
• Overall contribution to the team and property operations

Onsite Living Opportunity
