Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and components for menu items, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning to ensure readiness for cooking.
• Assist in assembling dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency across all orders.
• Support the kitchen team by executing food preparation tasks efficiently during busy service periods.
• Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards.
• Contribute to menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques to optimize kitchen operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and organized environment.
• Collaborate with culinary staff to meet quality expectations and deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Experience

• Proven experience as a prep cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or food service setting.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and sanitation practices.
• Demonstrated skills in food preparation techniques such as knife skills, meal prep, and ingredient assembly.
• Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus.
• Experience with menu planning, catering, and food service operations is highly desirable.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
