Duties

- Manage the full lifecycle of grant applications, from initial concept development through submission, follow-up, and reporting.
- Develop detailed budgets and financial reports that accurately reflect project needs and compliance requirements.
- Maintain organized records of all grant-related documentation within databases, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance tracking.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposals, including program descriptions, outcomes, and evaluation metrics.
- Write technical documents such as program descriptions, project narratives, and supporting materials that meet funder specifications.
- Proofread and edit proposals for clarity, accuracy, and consistency while adhering to deadlines.
- Oversee contract management processes related to grants, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and reporting requirements.
- Prepare progress reports and final evaluations that demonstrate project impact in accordance with funder guidelines.
- Assist in strategic planning efforts by identifying new funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
- Support fundraising initiatives by contributing to donor communications and stewardship activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in grant proposal writing with a strong portfolio of successful submissions across various funding sources.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Strong research skills utilizing databases or similar platforms to identify new funding opportunities.
- Expertise in contract management, including understanding of legal terms and compliance standards related to grants.
- Proficiency in using databases for tracking applications, deadlines, budgets, and reporting requirements.
- Excellent editing and proofreading abilities to ensure high-quality submissions free of errors.
- Experience in financial report writing, budgeting, and program development to support proposal content.
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies combined with strategic planning skills to align funding pursuits with organizational goals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with technical writing standards for creating clear project descriptions and evaluation metrics. GPC Credentials Preferred, but not required. Bachelors Degree required, Masters degree preferred.
