Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food business, with a keen understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control. Experience in Persian or Arabic restaurant operations is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
• Conduct regular market research to stay abreast of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new product offerings.
• Collaborate closely with the culinary team to understand menu requirements and ensure the availability of necessary ingredients.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with various departments to optimize stock levels and minimize wastage.
• Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns promptly to maintain a seamless supply chain.
• Develop and implement procedures to streamline procurement operations and improve efficiency.
• Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations governing food safety, import/export procedures, and customs clearance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar procurement role, preferably in the food industry in Qatar.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management principles, and inventory control techniques.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Persian or Arabic is a definite advantage.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
