Experienced Research Coordinator

Position: Research Coordinator – Site Start-Up Specialist

Are you a seasoned research coordinator looking for a new challenge? Our private

digestive and liver clinic is seeking a skilled individual to establish and manage the start-up of our research site from the ground up. This role will begin as a contract position, with an hourly rate that ranges between $30 and $35 per hour, depending on your experience. As the site grows and sponsor funding is secured, both your compensation and the potential for a full-time position will be re-evaluated.

Key Responsibilities

 Lead the complete start-up process for a new clinical research site at our private

digestive and liver clinic.

 Ensure ongoing compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA, and all

relevant regulatory requirements.

 Negotiate funding and contractual terms with study sponsors and Contract

Research Organizations (CROs).

 Purchase and install all necessary equipment and infrastructure for full site

functionality.

 Prepare the site for sponsor and CRO site qualification visits, ensuring all criteria

are met for successful evaluation.

 Proactively reach out to sponsors and CROs to develop new research

partnerships and pursue trial opportunities.

 Maintain ongoing site readiness to ensure efficient and accurate conduct of

clinical trials in accordance with protocols and timelines.

 Stay current with evolving research regulations, policies, and best practices in

clinical research.

 Train any future research coordinators who join the team, providing guidance and

support to ensure successful onboarding and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Experience

 Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, nursing, or a related discipline (advanced

degree preferred).

 At least 3-5 years of experience coordinating clinical trials, with proven expertise

in site start-up and regulatory compliance.

 Solid understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and other

relevant standards.

 Track record of successful liaison with sponsors/CROs and negotiation of

contracts and budgets.

 Outstanding project management, organizational, and communication skills.

 Ability to work independently and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
