Experienced Rural Waste Management Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Trash Truck Driver to operate various types of waste collection vehicles, including front loader, rear loader, and roll-off. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely collecting and transporting waste materials while adhering to all safety and environmental regulations. This role requires strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. Responsibilities

• Safely operate different types of waste collection trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds.
• Load and unload waste materials efficiently using appropriate truck mechanisms.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily routes, loads, and vehicle maintenance records.
• Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely waste collection.
• Perform heavy lifting as needed during loading and unloading processes.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental standards during operations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding route updates or issues encountered during shifts.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with rear loader, roll-off trucks.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy trucks.
• Mechanical knowledge related to truck maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Experience with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
• Delivery driver experience or prior work in waste management or similar industries is highly desirable.
