Experienced Sales and Design Consultant

Job Overview

Plush Home is a home décor boutique with a passion for design and all things beautiful. We are seeking a creative and motivated full or part time Design Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand their design needs and preferences, providing expert guidance and innovative solutions for their projects. Your ability to communicate effectively and your strong customer service skills will be essential in building lasting relationships with clients. This position requires a blend of sales experience, along with a passion for interior design. We want our customers to leave Plush Home with unique pieces that exceed expectations.

You will be required to work with vendors who provide full customization capabilities. In this exciting yet challenging role as a Design/Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for maximizing sales through assisting clients in the selection, purchase and delivery of merchandise while providing warm and friendly customer service.

Job Requirements

• 2-3 years of home furnishing, interior decorating experience and/or interior design education or design enthusiast with luxury sales experience
• Passion for working with people and excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excitement for the merchandise we sell, exhibited through knowledge of vendors capabilities and product assortment
• Passion for customizing products to meet and exceed customers’ expectations
• Desire to spend ample time on the sales floor focusing on customer needs
• Motivation to generate additional business by providing prospective customers with additional information required to secure sales
• Strong organization and time management: maintaining a clean retail environment; filing vendor catalogs and information; managing inventory levels; entering and tracking customer orders; knowledge of different computer softwares
• Ability to lift & mobilize medium, while utilizing appropriate equipment & safety techniques.
