Experienced SAT and ACT Tutor

At Franklin Yard, you will have opportunities to provide instruction to students on an individual or group basis. Most families continue to schedule virtual sessions; however, there is increasing interest for in-person sessions at our office in Wayne.

To best serve our students, all candidates must be able to work in person in and around our office in Wayne, PA.

Responsibilities

• Create dynamic, engaging lessons for students in either a class format or 1:1 setting
• Design and implement lesson plans for varying levels of content knowledge and test prep experience
• Establish goals and milestones with students
• Document and communicate periodic progress reports
• Provide constructive feedback for students
• Be comfortable and capable tutoring both virtually and in person in and around the Philadelphia "Main Line"

Experience Required

• Previous experience (2+ years) and success with SAT and ACT tutoring
• Sufficient knowledge of core content areas and test taking strategies for both SAT and ACT
• Demonstrated ability to score >95th percentile on current SAT/ACT exams (qualifying test will be administered as part of the interview process)
• Ability to build rapport with students and parents
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be responsive and conscientious in all communication, internal or external
