We are seeking a reliable, organized, and experienced Secretary / Office Administrator to join our growing electrical business. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in the trades industry, preferably with an electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or construction company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily office operations and administrative tasks
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and communicate professionally with customers and vendors
- Schedule jobs, coordinate calendars, and assist with dispatching technicians
- Organize paperwork, permits, invoices, and project files
- Assist with customer follow-ups and maintaining strong client relationships
- Handle invoicing, data entry, and bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks
- Support marketing efforts, social media updates, and business development projects
- Help improve office systems, workflow organization, and overall business operations
- Assist ownership with special projects and company growth initiatives
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the trades industry is required
- Experience with QuickBooks is required
- Strong scheduling and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Experience with marketing, social media, or business growth strategies is a plus
- Proficient with computers, email, Microsoft Office, and general office software
