Experienced Server

Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest experiences, demonstrating strong food and beverage knowledge, and maintaining high standards of service in a fast-paced environment. Experience with POS systems and a background in fine dining or food service is preferred. This role offers an opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a vibrant setting that values guest satisfaction and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while ensuring presentation quality
• Handle cash and process payments accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
• Assist with bussing tables, refilling water, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly
• Support host duties during busy periods to ensure smooth seating flow

Qualifications

• Age 21+ (we serve beer, wine & sake)
• Ability to build good rapport with guests
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal communication

Skills

• Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and payment processing
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
• Basic math skills for handling bills, making change, and processing transactions accurately
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with food preparation, bussing, or host/host roles is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights; previous nightclub or food industry experience is advantageous
