Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, excellent customer relations skills, and proficiency with various POS systems. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment that values professionalism, hospitality, and culinary excellence. Prior experience in fine dining, nightclubs, or the food industry is highly preferred. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing outstanding service, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Duties
- Take accurate orders from guests using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cashiering duties with attention to detail.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling and preparation when needed.
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Assist with host/hostess duties during busy periods to manage reservations and seating arrangements effectively.
- Follow food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Support team members in maintaining a smooth flow of service during high-volume hours, including nights and weekends.
- Applicants must meet the minimum age requirement (21 years or older) to serve alcohol.
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is preferred.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining genuine guest interactions.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy.
- Previous experience in the food industry, including serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food preparation processes and kitchen operations is a plus.
