Experienced Server

Job Summary:

Panino’s is a neighborhood restaurant and bar which has been a fixture in our North Oaks neighborhood for more than 25 years. We are seeking experienced Servers to join our team. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences. As an experienced server, you’ll deliver impeccable service, showcase our menu, and build lasting connections with our guests in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Guest Engagement:

• Greet guests warmly, establish rapport, and guide them through the dining experience.
• Provide expert knowledge of the menu, including specials, ingredients, and pairing recommendations.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and address concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Service Excellence:

• Accurately take orders and communicate them to the kitchen staff.
• Deliver food and beverages with precision and ensure everything meets Panino’s quality standards.
• Manage multiple tables with poise, ensuring each guest feels valued and attended to.

Team Collaboration:

• Work seamlessly with hosts, server assistants, bartenders, and kitchen staff to provide a cohesive dining experience.
• Assist in training new servers, sharing best practices, and maintaining a positive team dynamic.
• Support team members during peak times by running food, bussing tables, or assisting with take-out orders.

Operational Efficiency:

• Handle payments accurately, using the POS system for transactions.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including resetting tables quickly and efficiently.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards as outlined by the restaurant.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a server in a high-volume or upscale casual dining environment.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service, with the ability to make pairing suggestions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-first attitude.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Toast a plus and basic math skills for handling transactions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
• Comfortable lifting and moving items up to 25 lbs.
