Experienced Server (Bartending Experience a Plus)

Village Italian is seeking an experienced Server with bartending experience to join our front-of-house team. This position is ideal for hospitality professionals who excel in full-service dining, understand pace and timing, and take pride in delivering polished, attentive service in a busy restaurant environment.

This is not an entry-level role. Candidates should be confident on the floor, comfortable with POS systems, and capable of managing multiple tables during peak service while maintaining a high standard of guest experience.

Responsibilities

-Greet guests professionally and provide attentive, efficient table service

-Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems

• -Serve food and drinks following presentation and sanitation standards
• -Make knowledgeable menu and beverage recommendations
• -Upsell specials and featured items when appropriate
• -Handle cash and credit transactions accurately
• -Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas
• -Communicate clearly with kitchen, bar, and support staff
• -Resolve guest questions or concerns promptly and professionally
• -Assist with side work, bussing, and basic service support as needed
• -Support host or seating duties when required

Requirements (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

• 2+ years serving experience in a full-service restaurant
• Bartending experience preferred
• Strong guest service and communication skills
• Comfortable working busy dinner services
• Familiarity with POS systems (specific systems a plus, not required)
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
• Availability to work nights, weekends, SUNDAYS and holidays
• Must be at least 18 years old
