Experienced Shop Structural Steel Welder

Summary

You will be responsible for welding on structural iron and completing the tasks in a timely, quality manner. Shop is located in North Sacramento (McClellan, CA).

*Pre-Employment Drug Test & Background Check will be done on successful candidates*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Careful initial planning of the job to be carried out, reading and following erection drawings/plans.
• Using mobile elevated work platforms, ladders, lifts as the structure gains height, to access sections off the ground. Forklift/Boom Lift certifications are a plus
• Health and safety is very important, so strict adherence to OSHA guidelines are a must and to be followed at all times.

Required

• Knowledge of reading erection drawings/plans
• 2+ years experience as a Structural Steel
• Welding certification

Good practical skills for using tools, logic and good problem solving ability, good listening skills and the ability to follow verbal instructions, good physical fitness and agility, a sense of balance and head for heights, an accurate, organized and methodical approach to work, a good team worker, an awareness and respect for health and safety working practices.
