Experienced Small Engine - Construction Equipment Mechanic

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Small Engine, Equipment & Tool Mechanic to join my shop. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small engines and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our customers equipment operates efficiently and reliably, supporting their productivity and satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair small engines, compation equipment and pneumatic jack hammers , ensuring optimal performance.
• Perform comprehensive repairs on equipment such as generators, compaction equipment, trash pumps, chainsaws, pneumatic jack hammers and other equipment.
• Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues accurately.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized tools to complete repairs efficiently.
• Conduct equipment maintenance and heavy lifting as needed to facilitate repairs or part replacements.
• Must be able to work alone and complete jobs.
• Maintain work orders, and part logs for all repairs performed.

Qualifications

• Proven dealership experience or extensive service technician background in small engine and equipment repair.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in Honda GX160 , GX100 and GX390 engine repair, and simple electrical systems.
• Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting safety protocols.
• Experience working with pneumatic tool or similar machinery is a plus.
• Excellent team attitude and trustworthy is a must.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair processes.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
