Experienced Small Engine Mechanic

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join our fast-paced team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small engines and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our customers’ outdoor power equipment, lawnmowers, generators, and other machinery running smoothly. Duties

• Diagnose issues with small engines, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and other outdoor power equipment using schematics and technical manuals
• Perform repairs on small engines
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other specialized tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
• Assist customers by explaining repair procedures, providing maintenance advice, and recommending suitable solutions
• Handle heavy lifting safely when moving or installing large or bulky equipment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a small engine mechanic or service technician with dealership experience preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge of small engines
• Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, welding techniques, soldering processes, and generator repair
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
• Valid mechanic certification or relevant technical training is highly desirable
