Experienced Tax Preparer - San Francisco

We are a rapidly growing tax and audit firm with 60 professionals, seeking a skilled tax accountant for a permanent role. The position offers an opportunity to grow within a dynamic and collaborative team.

We are looking for someone for the following tasks:

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065).
• Accounting for RSUs, ESPP, or equity compensation on individual tax returns
• Ability to handle forms 2555, 1116, 3520, 114, 8938, 8949
• Experience with cryptocurrency reporting & Recognition
• Assist with tax planning and compliance for clients across various industries.
• Research tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for clients.
• Support senior tax professionals in handling IRS and state tax notices.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary tax-related information.

• Quick to learn computer applications- experienced with MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Google platforms
• Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
• High level of professionalism
• Organized and dependable self-starter that can manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects with a sense of urgency.

If you have accounting or tax exprience, that is even better but not 100% required. Please note that we have a busy season in our business between Feb and April each year, which may require longer hours during that time.
