Experienced Technician

Short work week off Fridays at noon. No Weekends!

```Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technician to join our team. As a Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of automotive repair and maintenance tasks. If you have a passion for working on vehicles and providing exceptional service, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with vehicles, including powertrain and transmission problems
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential issues or safety concerns
- Complete necessary repairs efficiently and accurately, following manufacturer guidelines and specifications
- Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure proper functionality and performance
- Keep accurate records of all services performed and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering any questions they may have

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Service Technician or Automotive Mechanic
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including brakes, powertrain, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with All types of vehicles is a plus
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently and accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Promotes Top Gear by presenting a professional image, a positive attitude, and a clean work area.
• Road tests vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly.
• Suggests additional work that is needed to the Service Advisor so the customer may be notified.
• Completes service and repair assignments correctly, to pass quality inspections or test drives.
• Collects all necessary information before requesting parts (e.g., model year, etc.).
• Maintains sufficient personally-owned tools; keeps tools in good working order.
• Notifies service advisor if delays are expected.
• Maintains cleanliness of the customer's vehicle.
• Promotes a productive working relationship with others.
• Provides clear and legible record of service completed for both customer and internal use.
• Has an approachable style; fosters open communication through active listening.
• Assists Service Advisors, if necessary, to explain completed repairs to a customer.
• Assists other technicians when needed.
• Performs preventive maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on company owned tools and equipment;
• ensures the facility is clean and organized at all times.
• Performs factory warranty repairs according to established procedures.
• Stays up-to-date on the latest technical services through training, bulletins, campaigns, etc.
• Follows safety rules and regulations including OSHA and hazardous waste regulations.

Requirements

• Education, training and/or state/national certifications should demonstrate the possession of the knowledge and skills stated above.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to use computer and calculator.
• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors and other contacts.
• Lifting to 70 lbs.
